SOLAR TERRESTRIAL PHYSICS
The Department conducts theoretical and applied research in solar-terrestrial influences and and eHealth and in particular:
- Comprehensive study of the radiological conditions in the heliosphere, including the impact of galactic and solar cosmic rays and radiation belt particles on biological objects and technological systems in the Earth’s atmosphere, magnetosphere and interplanetary space;
- Research on the effects of geophysical, meteorological and cosmic factors, including the effect of the sun, on physiological and psychophysiological parameters of biological objects;
- Study of the magnetosphere as a medium for energy transport and acceleration of particles and its reaction to different interplanetary impacts;
- Investigate the feasibility of widespread implementation of digital health care.
Liulin dosimeters, created in the section, participate in numerous space missions.
