RESEARCH COMPLEX BEON-1
beon1

BeON - 01

Goal:

Study of the ability of operators to deal with complex situations in extreme environment

Evaluation of:

  • Situational alertness (awareness) perception sustainability, volume and selectivity of attention, working memory, assessing the situation.
  • ability for decision
  • Ability to deal with scarce and contradictory information.
  • Ability to changes in the environment
  • .Ability to perform simultaneous operations occurring.
  • Coping with stress - flexibility, emotional stability, willingness to privates and managing stressors.
  • Individual profile of physiological responses in coping with stress.

System for collecting and processing of information (SCPI) ZORA

ZORA is the first generation space medical system. The main goal was an investigation of the neuro -physiological status of the cosmonauts during a flight.
System was based on the "Mir" space station in 1988 (second Bulgarian flight in the space). It worked there four years. With Zora was prepared many different experiments as a "Labirint", "Potential", "Dosug", "Opros", "Globus" and "Statokinetica".

NEUROLAB-B

NEUROLAB-B is the second generation medical equipment for the studies of the cosmonauts, psycho and psycho - physiological status during a long flight. It was based on the board of "Mir" Space Station in September 1996. "Neurolab-B" worked in the space until March 2001.

MA-01 Sleep apnea studies

MA-01 is a holter system developed for measurement and analysis of 5 physiological channels necessary for apnea analysis during a period of sleep. Capacity of the memory is enough to save a record with a length up to 10 hrs. The quantity of the recorded data could be controlled in real time by the LCD display build in the recorder. Via RS232 interface all channels could be controlled on the host computer. The interpretation of the recorded information is supported by a program responsible for the data downloading, processing and analysis.
