The
core of the ATT has been started its work in the space
research since 1986, as coordinators and direct
executors of the video spectrometric complex - "Fregat"
under the PHOBOS international space project. In parallel,
work on the Phobos project was designed the "Zora"
system on the project "Shipka" (second Bulgarian
flight in the space). The division participated also
in the design of the "Specter-256", "Rozhen",
and "Terma" systems, which were used in the
scientific program under the "Shipka" project.
The team of the division participated in the design
of devices under the projects APEX, PRIRODA, and COMPAS.
The greatest achievement of the division is the "Neurolab-B"
system which operates on board of the MIR orbital station
five years until 2001 when station splash-down in Pacific
ocean. It is intended for complex psycho-physiological
study of astronauts (electrocardiogram, miogram, electrooculogram,
breathing, temperature, blood pressure, skin conductivity
etc.).
In the recent years, the small-sized multi channel holter
"MA - 01" system was designed for recording
of some physiological parameters: electrocardiogram,
breathing, blood pressure, temperature etc. The system
is used for clinical studies in an English clinic for
sleep apnea analysis.
In the last few years many other medical devises have
been developed such as pulse oxymeter, ECG holters and
electrocardiographs. All of them are tested clinically
and are used in Bulgarian hospitals.
The division has established business contacts with
the Japanese company "Core Co." for development
of software products for communication systems.
The division is competent in the following fields: space-born computer systems, communication equipment;
microprocessor systems - hardware and software; secondary
power sources; systems for near radiolocation; sensors
and units for real time processing of physiological
signals, medical, security and measurement systems.
The professional competence and experience of the division
allow it to perform technologic activity in the field
of data acquisition and processing, computer systems,
communication equipment, medical equipment, intelligent
weapons, systems for near radiolocation and secondary
power sources.
The scientists of the division have published more than
60 papers on the above mentioned themes, mainly in Bulgarian
scientific collections, and have delivered more than
100 reports at national and international conferences.
